I'm Wim van Hoof, the artist behind VanHoof-Art Studio.

For me, a painting doesn’t begin with an idea. It begins with curiosity.

With more than 15 years experience as an artist, I’m still fascinated by the way colour, form, material and space come together. My work moves between the abstract and the recognisable, without being confined to a particular style. Along the way, the painting itself often decides where it wants to go.

I don’t create standard paintings. I create work that belongs in a space, connects with a feeling, or brings an idea to life. Sometimes the vision is clear. Sometimes it starts with a colour, a photograph, or simply a conversation.

That conversation is often the best place to begin.

From there, something unique takes shape: a painting created specifically for a particular space and person.
